What am I missing?

So i am a steam user, I fallowed the guide for dayz install and got the arma 2 vanilla versions to work fine but step 3 of the guide is to download the dayz zip files and then to put them in a new folder in ur arma program files, so I click on the download link and it says page doesnt exist, I go to the dayz website and it has the dayzcommander and six downloaders. I download dayz commander and cant join a server because it says i have a bad version or something like that. Then I download the six site and nothing happens?

Can someone make a new guide that has current download steps please?

so I reinstalled the play with six and fallowed their guide click the join server now i get an error that says that im missing some wepons file something something camo something something?
