jedberry1993@hotmail.co.uk 21 Posted November 25, 2012 Hi everyone I am Qlimax the leader of a gaming clan called Chimera Gaming we are looking to expand our clan/gaming community by looking for avid players for not only DayZ but many other games. We host our own teamspeak server and it is public so if you have friends that are into gaming and want somewhere to come and talk in a friendly community please feel free to pass on the details. We only have a few rules we wish you to abide by.Trolls will be banned instantly if they are affecting the community an any negative way.We do not allow anyone under the age of 16 to join this gaming community. "Reason" From my past experience and through the suggestion of others the mixing of very low and high ages comes with many conflicts between personalities, decisions and maturity.Many players have taken a break from DayZ in the past couple of months due to the rising amount of hackers taking advantage of this mod, well Chimera Gaming play on a specific set of servers that are Whitelist only and have 24/7 active Administrators. for those of you that do not know what whitelist means it basically means that you need to be approved to play on the server, now before you start thinking oh that will take ages to set up it will not, once you have submitted the required details for the admins to verify you will be Whitelisted within the hour and you will never have to be disturbed again you can play as you wish.We play on a custom mod called DayZ Redux, it is exactly the same as normal DayZ except there are fixes to problems that you wanted to be fixed with the normal DayZ mod months ago !. please use the link below to go to the website and check it out. I'm 18, so it wouldn't personally affect me but I strongly disagree with the notion that your age defines anything about you. I'm currently grouped with a lot of people over the age of 20 with the mental age of a Grahams cracker. It is to my past experience that between the ages of 14 to 16 that generation of PC gamers get bored quickly and find an alternative for fun, this being hacks or some other sort of game exploit. I am not saying that this accounts for all the younger generations but it does account for a large percentage of them. In general, being young doesn't mean anything about how you behave.On the notion that I haven't been using the internet enough, explain how long I'd need to be using it, if nearly half of my life has been on it. I said I was 18, and I believe I was ten when I started using forums like these ones.It doesn't matter what your past experience dictates, in fact I find it leads in the opposite direction. I agree that most of the ***ers tend to be young, but you said you were a community for all games, did you not? I've never spoken to a hacker on another game that wasn't my age or older. And I'm not referring to the wave of children who hacked the CoD games when PSN was exploited, they are not hackers, just idiots. You don't need to be a genius to put a USB into a PS3.All in all, you could substitute such a restriction with a better moderation team. Out-casting younger players won't provide any security for you when a 17 year old decides to join and grief your servers.
