How to lose Chasing Zombies, even a "horde"

Recommended Posts

Or you could you know...sit right next to a pine tree or a bush (make sure you're really close to the centre as possible) then the zambies will "try" to hit you but fail then walk off

Or, you could walk up the hill and let the zombies follow then run past the zeds down the hill and they will sprint after you and die.

Yes, you can, but that caries the bad connotation of "hiding in a bush".

Sorry bro, but I think I'll stick with loosing my zombies the old fashioned way.

Hiding in a thick bush or any pine tree is the fastest way and it hides you from bandit site as well. Other than that you can vault fences (v), go through a building (Zs walk indoors), or run around a building. Zs will give up after taking a few turns and not seeing you.

Yeah the hiding in a bush is a bit of an exploit IMO If the zombies didnt see you duck in the bush and dont know you're there fair enough, but if they can see you and are actively trying to hit you, but they cant because a game flaw wont let them, that's an exploit IMO.

As long as their movement style is fucked up like it is (we all know that hyperspeed zig-zagging) I'd say it's legitimate when things get rough and you're chased down by a horde. I'd prefer to waste them for good... but it's quite hard to drop a horde when they all use their lightspeed moveset. So yeah, when it seems hopeless: pinetrees and bushes.

Whereas the Alt + F4 / disconnect method? Meh, that's more like exploiting/cheating to me.

you don't even really need the slope. Just run thru a row of bushes or pine trees. the zombs have to walk in the bush and lose LOS. problem solved.

As i mentioned in an other thread you can eaven loosing them with walking inside a house (small lumber hut for example) then switch stances so that you are nealy not hearable or visible (like for the icons, you still would be pretty easy to see for a player) if you think your eye- and earicon isnt low egnouth (both bars should be empty or with max 1 bar in one of the two categories) you should proun and shift prund really slowly in the last ege of the room(you will make no sound or be visible with this type of movement inside houses). Stay calm and on the ground only moving your head to look at the entering zombies. They will come an really slowly, go slowly to the point where the heard the last noise(that depends on how far the zombie was away in each stance), some of them will eaven go rigth to you or pass you, unless you dont make any noises they will wander off, going outside the house and back to where they came i think(never followed them after i left the building). From time to time when you aggroed a really large mass of zombies and using this trick, or the bush/tree trick, one or two zombies will stay where they last heard the your noise.

A short vid how it works:

I break line of sight by weaving through forests, running behind a bush or down the sides of buildings and around the next corner. If you crouch as soon as you have broken sight, then they walk off because they can't hear you any more.

Lol dude running through a house to get rid of zombies is an exploit lmao

I'm pretty sure if u found a thick pine tree in real life it would be a pain in the ass for anything to u in there, if u could get through it.
