Really troubling integrity problems

Recommended Posts

Hey, I have been playing Arma 2 and DayZ for a while now without issues, but last night i got this error message when trying to join a server:

Bad version, server rejected connection.

So I tried fixing that message, so I reinstalled Operation Arrowhead, installed beta patches and DayZ throught DayZ Commander. That's where things got weird, now whenever I try joining a server I almost get in to the server, then I get kicked out without any error messages whatsoever.

So now I have tried reinstalling Arma 2 and OA, as well as DayZ Commander (Note that I have Arma2 on retail and OA on Steam, but this shouldn't be an issue).

Now whenever I try joining any server, I just get kicked out again, and I also noticed the Chernarus map isn't even in the map list on OA.

I also tried verifying integrity of the game cache, and it always complains about 1 file, but that it has been fixed.

So I have no idea what to do now, any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

[Edit]

DayZ Commander gives me this message now too whenever I start it up:

after reinstalling, make sure to run it.

It will always fail to verify 1 file in steam.

Have you remembered to enable the "overwrite steam files, so blah blah blah" in DayZcommanders settings?

Thanks I did that a few times already, but I think I know what may be the issue. Something screwed up earlier on and when I reinstalled the games I forgot to update Arma 2 manually (because it's a retail copy).

So I am going to try doing that now and cross my fingers that it works! :)
