Player Not Saving Between Servers

Hi, I'm having this issue where my player's gear is not saving between servers. In fact nothing is.

If I play in one server and then go back to that same server later, everything is fine. However, in the very common case of not being able to find that same server and having to join a new one, it makes me start a character from scratch.

Is this normal? Or are Characters supposed to transfer over, no matter what server I join? If not, is there anything I can do to fix it?

You might of be playing on private hives? Where the stuff ONLY saves on that one server
