DMR & M24 mags should be convertible to and from FN FAL mags

7.62 and 7.62 NATO are not the same round.

True, but the FN FAL fires a 7.62 NATO round anyways. It is a Belgian rifle, after all.

umm, im pretty sure the dmr and m24s fire NATOS, after all they're NATO weapons. and so does the FAL fire NATOS, its a NATO weapon.

In no way have you given a reason as to why or how this will improve the game

They all fire the same round, but all have very different proprietary magazines.

A feature to allow the player to unload a magazine into a gear pile and then load a different magazine which takes the same round would fix this.

In answer to why you'd want this feature, it's because this is what you do in real life.

Say I've got a FAL with 5 rounds left in the mag and I find a DMR mag with 10 rounds in it. I empty the DMR mag into my hat before dropping my FAL mag and manually loading the extra 10 rounds into it.

I then have a FAL with 15 ronds and can toss/keep the DMR as the mood takes me.

Sounds fair. I've always been somewhat unsure about how you can suddenly obtain a M1911 mag from a couple of .45 ACP rounds.

Something to add onto this would be the addition of empty magazines. For example, if you run out of FN FAL ammo, the mag doesn't disappear, but rather becomes an empty FN FAL mag which can be refilled with 7.62 rounds later.

However, I don't know if I need more items to carry around, but if at some point the devs decide to add in stackable items this might be a useful addition to have.

I'm pretty sure the empty mag and find bullets idea is what Rocket is going with in the standalone. He has talked about it before.

I'm all for this suggestion if they both use the same round in real life. Materializing some magazines to put them in isn't a big deal, as mentioned we already do this with m1911 & revolver mags.
