Question about buying arma and using

Hello what if I have Arma 2 not on steam but then i buy operation arrowhead on steam will i be able to play dayz even if my regular arma 2 is non steam and AO is.

Yes you can. Follow the installation guide, attention given to "mixed copy".

If that doesn't work out (i.e. you get errors about missing files when joining servers) then copy the "addons" folder from your Arma 2 folder and paste it into Operation Arrowhead's folder.
