Worth reinstalling Arma 2?

Hello guys! I havent been online for months. I left due to the huge amount of hackers in the game. I decieded I would like to come back to DayZ I just wanted to know if the hacker numbers have dwindled down a bit. Also if someone can give me a quick up summary of the diffrence now from back around may game wise. Also if I should just wait for stand alone too (do they have a release date?). I know all of this is probably answerd somewhere on this fourm I just find it much faster to ask and have experianced people answer it faster then searching.

Well your choice really, The newer patches and Private hives have seen scripter numbers drop quite a bit, plus battleye has been improved a bit and is making a difference.

Some features of the game has changed, too many to list but generally it is for the better,

As for the Stand Alone no conformation yet on a release date but we are all hoping it will be before the end of the year!!

If you want to get back into it i recommend installing DayZ commander, downloading a couple of the maps get the updates find yourself a private server and see how you get on :D
