DayZ Standalone Suggestion List

First off, I was hoping to start a thread that includes the biggest changes/additions that the community wants overall. I was thinking that people could post ideas, and if that idea was liked by a bunch of people, it would get put in this 1st post. I just thought it would be a good idea to put all the good suggestions in a single place. I'm going to start off by putting some ideas I came up with. I want this to be a list from everyone, so I was if an idea I initially list sounds terrible to everyone else, tell me to remove it. I'm just putting some of my ideas to get the thread going. After that I'll post my ideas in the thread, and add it to this post if people like it. When I put a suggestion in this post, I'll include the name of the person who came up with it.

Also, if someone posts an idea, and you like it, give them beans.

Weapons - not just what weapons should be in the game, but how they should spawn or work etc..

-Military weapons are too common. If you think about it, military weapons should be limited to military areas, and be fairly rare. It would make more sense to find Hunting rifles, shotguns, and civilian handguns in civilian buildings and deer stands.

-A more standard hunting rifle would be a nice addition. A .30-06 style rifle with a scope that can't be zeroed and maybe only three reference points in the scope would be interesting, like a cross hair zeroed for 300, and lower line for 200, and a higher line for 400. Hunters generally don't shoot at distances farther than that, so I think that zeroing would work.

Sutinen-Other thing that's flawed about the military weapons are the deer stands.

I think they should have some hunting rifles there, not combat rifles.

That would be the CZ550 and maybe some other hunting rifle or a shotgun. No combat shotguns though, the hunting ones.

Zombies - anything about zombies

-Zombies need to be a threat again, and large groups would do that. The thing that made them scary originally was that they never stopped following you. I think larger hordes, that followed noises that they heard in the distance, would make them way more dangerous, and scary again. Also making them loose aggro less easily would add to their danger.

Post a category idea if you want. This thread is supposed to be a list made by everyone, so I tried not to add too much. Also if you have an idea of how the this post could be formatted better, say it.

Items should spawn inside containers (cupboards, chests, vehicles, wrecks, drawers, lockers etc etc) and only actually spawn when a player accesses the containers, so would cut down on lag quite alot cos a whole area of spawns wouldnt be there anymore.

Other thing that's flawed about the military weapons are the deer stands.

Zombies run straight at you, no more zigzagging, and they take headshots to kill, if you hit them anywhere else they just stumble a little and carry on

Zombies should be affected by where you shoot them.. If I shoot a leg, they shouldn't be able to go full sprint at me anymore.

The monkey zombies shouldn't be so jerky, They seize when they see you, then you can barely get an accurate body shot off until there in front of you hitting you.

Would also appreciate a fix for Zombies and deer stands.. Zeds get stuck on the bottom, and you gotta put em down to get up the stand.. If the goal is to make the deer stands harder to get to, why make the zombies roam so far from it? another thing. why is it always exactly three zeds each time. the possibility that there were three heavy military or law enforcement personnel at every single deer stand in chernarus at the time of their infection is just absurd leaves no room for surprises..

Read the news about standalone beforehand. both of these were answered..

I think the only problem with zombies is they cant hit on the run, thats the only thing causing them to be no threat, blame arma 2. If that horde of 3 zombies (that run faster then you) could actually hit you, or grab you and pull you down while on the run zombies would be a huge threat. Hopefully standalone has more zombie attacks then just the bitch slap you receive now.

The map needs more "shits fucked up yo" clutter, cities with abandoned cars filling the streets, ofcourse to make drivable cars a treasured item 90% of the cars need to be fubar, burnt out, stripped for parts etc.

Does anyone else think that deer stands should spawn like crashed helis? IE, in a certain area, but randomly. It would be cool if they could spawn in a field or the middle of a forest, and make them more exciting to find. Maybe they could spawn more often than heli's, but have the standard hunting weapons.
