Winchester is already rare for no reason. I find CZ 550 more often than the Winchester.

So let's give it a CC use, finally. It is famous as a good weapon against zombies - let's continue working in that direction.

I don't find the Winchester to be that rare, to be honest. In fact, I'd go as far to say that I find the Winchester more than a double-barrelled shotgun!

Winchester is good against zombies, as it's:

one-shot kill

15 rounds per clip let you kill groups

relatively quiet

Pellets will help in CC situations (in cities), and preserve more valuable slugs.

Winchester sucks, it just doesn't fire fast enough or do enough damage to be reliable in pvp combat, Enfield is still the better starter weapon. As for killing zed, well if you're using a gun then you're probably doing it wrong. a) run away B) sneak c) get the axe out if you have to d) use a gun if you're cornered by lots of zed. D should happen pretty rarely.
