Trees Strobing and then display driver crashes

Recommended Posts

Im running AMD Phenom II x965 processor 3.42ghz

ECS MCP61M-M3 motherboard

4gb DDR3 ram

XFX ATI HD Radeon 4890 black edition 1gb DDR5 ram

Win 7

catalyst 12.10 driver with app profiles

So after 5mins to an hour of playing dayz the trees and grass start strobing white. I get a bit of screen tearing during the strobing and then the game freezes for about 10secs, the screen garbles for a sec and then minimizes to desktop or the screen just goes black. Were i can still hear and control the game yet it wont alt-tab back on. Sometimes saying "the display driver has stopped working and has recovered"

I can Shift - FLUSH the game back on yet it usually crashes 10secs later or maybe not for another 30mins-hour. I can look at the sea all day but as soon as i go near trees it can start again, Ive tried every combo of settings on the game, the AMD control center and different drivers. Only thing i notice is when Anti-aliasing is off in the game settings, it looks like a snow storm. All other games work perfectly, black mesa, warcraft. Also i ran Speedfan and its saying GPU temp goes between 54-94c when playing Dayz which ppl say is normal. Please help.

I've fixed the above issue (Graphic card was overheating due to me not removing the flap on the case for the fan outtake during installation) and DayZ runs like a beast on full settings. Booyah
