Ping 2500 while hosting

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I'm new to hosting and just received my Instance ID.I ollowed the instructions from the welcome email, and I managed to start the server properlyNow,my problem:my ping ingame is 2500 even though I'm hosting it.

I did some research on Google and all I was able to track down was that it could be my firewall.I am getting some errors from services.exe , but my firewall is working properly.

My OS is:Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Processor:Intel I7 870 @ 2.93ghz

Ram:8 GB

HDD:800GB

GPU:AMD Radeon HD 4850 1GB

So,please help.

P.S. I can't see my game on lan either, possibly cos' of my network issue...

What is your uplink limit from your internet provider ?

You can turn off temporary your firewall to check if its that (doubt it, firewall would block you totally, not let you go thoug very slow).

If by uplink you mean upload speed then it's 2mbits which should be enough as I did host some private hives...
