ARMA 2 OA HAS STOPPED WORKING!

I'm desperate, I bought the arma 2 combined operations a couple days ago and I couldn't play dayz yet

When I join a server, it crashes a little before the character page and I went back to desktop and a message appears "Arma 2 OA has stopped working"

What do I have to do to solve this problem?

This sentence refuses me to help you. You should give "normal" Arma 2 a chance.

It doesnt need XP or Vista, where did you get this nonsense from? Me and most other people play on Windows 7.

When you say the rest you have, what exactly do you have? Because thats a pretty poor CPU to start, DayZ is more system resource heavy than ArmA 2 OA so just because you pass those minimum specs doesnt mean DayZ will definitely run smoothly even at the lowest settings.

I'm using steam and i just bought the game today. Downloaded, ran steam as admin on the first start up of Arma II and Operation arrowhead. The game runs fine by it self, but whenever i try to connect to a dayz server, both from the server list in the game itself or Dyaz commander, it crashes like what the original poster described. For dayz i just downloaded the mod from the button thats on the home site. I dont know if i have to put it in a different folder or what, but ive finally decided to buy arma mainly based on dayz and im upset it wont work now :( any help to solve this problem for me and anyone else would be greatly appreciated!

You already have DayZ Commander so install DayZ from that.

So, my PC is intel I3, 4GHZ etc... Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA bothnrun correctly, but when I try to enter in a dayz server it crashes, even when i use dayzcommander and sixupdater.. Can anybody help me? I'm really desperate! If anyone can solve this problem, PLEASE HELPME!!!

People are asking for complete 'specs' easiest enough is to right-click My Computer" on desktop < goto Properties and it will show you your CPU's speed, ram amount&type as well as video card and hard drive.

Dont worry about the XP/Vista. All games use it as a minimum-requirements. (I suppose there's still those on 98se >.>), Fraggle&Rooneye like train-gang'n those in distress.

I'm not sure about the last few weeks but I had issues with trying to use both Play wihSix and DayZ Commander. Something about one would try to overwrite/'re'download maps under the guise of an "update/download now". So I uninstalled both DZC&6. Installed Pay withSIx (since I found it easier to find mods and it's supported, officially) and haven't had an issue since.

Hello, I'm having the same problem with every single time that I log into a server it shows a small windows saying that "Arma 2A0 has stop working" how can I fixed that problem? my computer is intel core i5 and it have 8GB of memory ram and 2 GB of dedicated gaming and "windows 8" why is not working or maybe is cause of the windows 8... well I just hope someone can help me thanks

i have recently had the same problem and the solution that worked for me was to install dayz manually, the following site has the steps in which to do so if you have trouble doing this

And just use the addons folder from your arma 2 folder instead of the arma2free stated in the site above and also here is a link to dayz 1.7.4.4 because you still cant get manual update through dayzmod.com yet for some reason
