Absolutely Confused ...

Recommended Posts

After playing for a good few hours (Straight) I finally got myself an Alice pack full of goodies! Ammo, food, guns, you name it. Been survivng for a while now, got everything I needed, just living in a house keeping it clean and what not xD. Anyways, I see a bandit charging at my house so of course without hesitation I shot him and killed him. Next thing i know i'm flying through the air and land dead.

O.k so after the boring part I respawn and just haven't been able to do good since, I don't want to do that all again so i was wondering if anyone would join me playing through day z? I really am confused about what to do. Haven't been near Elektro (I think that's how you spell it) or Chernov (if that's the other one) since I have no idea where they are. The best weapon I've ever had (with ammo) is the winchester or enfield. So i've really not done much in the game. My headset doesn't like DayZ so you'll have to add me on skype (don-Holiday) (Current display picture is a snake eating itself ...)

Anyways, I didn't mean to drag on, but apparently I have so sorry.

Please get back to me soon, if you're having trouble adding me pm me your skype name or even just leave it as a post if you don't mind anyone else being able to view it. Thanks.

-Matt

I'm not interested, although you should try going off the coast and move inland if you don't find anyone.

Novy and Stary Sobor are pretty good as you can find some better weapons (M16, AKM etc.) in the barracks and whatnot.

If you stay clear of the heat-zone cities it's a lot easier to survive because of lower amounts of players and larger amounts of lootable buildings.

Built up cities, as stated above, have the consistent potential to seriously inhibit any longevity you hope to squeeze from your character.

They are terrifyingly exciting places to stalk - rammed with zeds, bandits, survivors and enough tension to make your pulse race.

But it's also a shit storm.

Thanks both of you guys ... slight issues with both of your twos ideas for me. I have no idea where Novy and Stary Sobor are sadly, however I will look into finding them. As for going into built up cities, I think i'm far too nooby to try that for now, can hardly even shoot straight at the moment. The only other pc shooter I've played is TF2 and i'm not even sure if that counts. But thanks for the suggestions, i'm going to see If i can find an online map to try mark out on paint. Maybe figure out where to go from there.

Plenty of online maps in HUGE resolution.

3500x2500 is the one I've got.

Look for a forum user called Maxander.

He's made a colour-coded loot map, which is 16500x14600 :P

It's a picture with a load time!

Seriously though, being able to zoom in that much can be very useful.

Currently using this map http://dayzmap.info/ ... You can search for loot for all the common places they can spawn which I thought was useful. A lot of the map won't load for me but I can live with that for now. I'll search for that Colour-coded map later tonight, for now I should probably try get something done on Day-Z. Thanks for the tips guys, wish me luck ...

There's the color-coded loot map if you want to use it. Very handy map for finding your way around.

Really, the only trouble you are going to have with zeds is getting in and out of the city. They seem to form this ring around the city, but there are very few zeds once you actually get inside.

If your looking for a few good guys to play with shoot me a pm. We use TS3 and play the game with patience, and are looking for a couple more players who take the game a little more seriously than the average player.
