Almost pitch black night at 6pm servertime ?

Recommended Posts

Gents,

since a few days the day/night cycle on my HIVE server seems shifted.

The timezone variable in windows always was & is set to GMT+3 (so that is inverted gmt-3).

Nothing else on the server has been changed.

Still it is almost pitch black at not even 6pm servertime. ( verified with the ingame watch )

It used to be much much brighter at that time. ( my graphics settings have not been modified either, other players report the same )

Anyone else experience that ?

Cheers

Yeah I agree, gets dark at like 5:30 5:45is and stays that way for like 12 hours, I guess they do that because its always Autumn? I have no idea, but yeah, I do like the dark, but I also like the day and would prefer it to be a bit longer (the daylight that is) as the servers I play on Im usually on at around exactly this time <.< I seem to always log on just as its getting dark.

Exactly - most ppl play in the evening & its always dark then. No fun for beginners and ppl. without Nightvision. Thats why i changed the timezone on the server and it always worked perfect... until a few days / maybe 1.7.3 ?

Maybe it was this item from the 1.7.3 changelog ?

* [NEW] New Hive can now set ingame time to custom, local(local server time), static

How does that work anyway ?
