Psycked 0 Posted June 16, 2012 Hey guys I was playing on one of the many US servers for about an hour while running in the middle of nowhere. When all of a sudden I was spawned up in the air and dropped to my death.... Am I missing something here? Are some of the US servers hacked or "bad" servers that I should stay away from? esaciar 1 Posted June 16, 2012 Happened to everyone on a server.Hacked recently, but the team are pulling their proverbial puddings out to rectify it.
dale0404 16 Posted June 16, 2012 The server was hacked mate. But this will happen less and less as time goes on. Put it down as a bad experience and move on.
Azba 0 Posted June 16, 2012 Being catapulted into the air is one of the "fun" anti-hacking punishments that've been programmed in. Quite possibly you were on a bad server, or something on your end triggered the response.
Psycked 0 Posted June 16, 2012 Ah thanks for the info guys! I love this mod and I'm glad to hear they are aware of it and working to fix it.Thanks for the fast replies mates!P.S. you guys have any suggested servers you recommend?

bogroll (DayZ) 26 Posted June 16, 2012 Saw a vid where this happened to two guys - one fell to his death, the other had the presence of mind to DC then relog 4 or 5 times and made a controlled landing with no damage.
slyder73 94 Posted June 19, 2012 Sadly it will be a bit of a gamble for hacked servers.Arma2 has been out for 3 years now and if you've played on the regular Coop or actual PvP servers, they still get hacked all the time. The hacks are always one step ahead of BI in trying to figure it out (although BI doesn't do the best job in product support over time).Try to find a server that usually has a good set of admin on all the time. That gives more of a chance that the hackers will do something small and stupid first and get booted before they take out the whole server. That works well in regular Arma2, though I guess in DayZ with the persistent saving it can screw up a character someone has been working on for weeks.
