Why does this keep happening?

I've been playing on Lingor, and recently when servers reset or I just log off. I reload the game and when I come in I die to nothing and get put on some island with a bunch of boxes in a square. I still have my ghillie suit on, but i have no items. I don't have a bandage flashlight or anything. So, first off what even killed me, and second why am trapped on some island. It's really getting old.

This has happened to me many times, not just on lingor. I used to think it was hackers but I now think it's to do with the server (a wrong version of the map or arma or some thing).

If you log out and log in again it will spawn you back in at one of the default spawn points (with nothing apart from clothes), but you can get off the despawn island. I once actually tried to take a boat from despawn island to the main land but ran out of petrol half way over.)

The best way to avoid this is to stick to servers in your favourites that you have joined before (especially if you have a geared character you like). Also be very wary of servers that constantly have no people on them despite being daylight and attractive otherwise).

maybe try and find a good local hive and try and determine if it is reliable.the frustrations of dayz are outweighed by its awesomeness , but sometimes.....

i agree with toastyy , use servers you know to be reliable.i pretty much only use stuff i have frequented and go straight to the "recent" section in dayzcommander as opposed to scrolling through endless server lists.keep at it and you'll find a nice place to call home.good luck!

I was trawling through my recently played to find some examples of these servers. Maybe we could post them here and some one could look at them and see any similarities.

Thank a lot guys for the feedback. I honestly love the game and think it is amazing, but this honestly just turns me off of it. I guess I'll just have to do better when trying to find a server.
