Whats going on with my aim?

Recommended Posts

hello,

sadly ive a very annyoing issue with dayz and arma2 in general when it comes down to precise aiming!

What i know about it so far is not much except for that Ive already had dayz installed a couple of months ago with exactly the same problem. What means that I can be pretty sure that it hasn't anything to do with any changes ive done to my system lately...

Ive made a video about the issue to illustrate it for you guys in more detail:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CC4khgwGEcs&feature=youtu.be

Like you see in the vid my aiming in dayz kinda feels like a zipper like when you move your mouse a bit the aimdot kinda spastically jumps instead of a smooth hovering. You also see in the vid that ive turned the "Smoothing" option to zero. Increasing it, sadly, doesnt help at all. Ive also tried to deactivate my mouse acceleration in windows which also couldnt solve the issue.

After playing tons of FPS games I think its safe to say that the aiming mechanics of arma2 are very special indeed! I really hope you guys can give me some info about it coz right now its seriously no fun feeling held back while running between hordes of zombies....

PLS note: English isnt my first language ; )

That not Day Z that's basic training in your vid and its only doing that because there are targets there; the gun auto locks to them.

Hate trying to fix stuff which isnt broken hehe...

If I think about it, some months ago when i played the game the last time I believe that I somehow forgot the issue after some time of playing so I guess you probably right
