OA with Non Steam Arma 2

Hello guys,

I own Operation Arrowhead and Arma 2 free but the problem with that is the low resolution textures which has lead me to want to by Arma 2 the original.

Now what I'm wondering is, do I need to buy Arma 2 from Steam or can I get a non steam edition Arma 2 and rely on Operation Arrowhead being on Steam ?

It doesn't matter if ArmA2 is the retail or steam version

Both lead to you being able to start ArmA2 Combined Operations

There's also low resolution textures because of the BAF/PMC DLCs. So you'll also have to buy those if you want all the textures to look nice.

Personally I would buy it all on steam.

I've decided just to pay the extra and go through Steam. The only high res textures I'd be missing out on would be player models though right Castle ?
