Stuck on load screen

Hey.. not sure if anyone can help out.

I seem to get into the servers okay, when i click to start up the game i get stuck in the loading screen... nothing happens at all..

no clue whats happening with it

Could be several things, but when I had this problem all I needed to do was copy the old 1.601 Day Z code file over the new 1.7 one and play on 1.601 servers.

1.7 still doesn't work for me.

You can find the old 1.601 code file in the day z download list site under "/old".

Other than that, could be you haven't installed the beta patch which some servers required, or you're joining a day z server above your client version.

god damnit that sucks.

Ok i managed to get onto the server.

However, now Battle Eye Client is not responding. thats been happening with any server that uses BEC

Hmm... well if you're on steam I remember there being an issue with the steam copy not installing the latest version of BattleEye when you install the game. If this is the problem, you'd have to go to the BattleEye website, download the latest one (I believe it's a .dll file) and then paste it into the old BattleEye folder in your Operation Arrowhead directory, replacing the old one.

Also iirc new versions of Arma II beta patches take a while before registering with BattleEye, meaning that it gives false cheat responses or somesuch and proceeds to kick you out. If this is the issue, then that means you'll just have to wait a bit.

Alright.. got the 1.601 Dayz and put on the updated battle eye.. right now im on the loading screen and stuck still.. ill leave it awhile. see if it does anything

hmmm nope... i opened a new game and joined a random server. still got booted because of battle eye not responding

i have tried numerous settings with my modem as per other forums. and things that i have tried do not work.

really frustrating!

I had this problem, too, and finally figured it out yesterday:

Somewhere in your Arma2 folder is a folder called BattlEye. Copy that folder. Go to your Arma2 Operation Arrowhead folder, inside that is a folder called Expansion. Paste the copy of BattlEye into the Expansion folder. Done.
