Exactly how does dayz commander work?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, so what is used for apart from updating? Are u supposed to run the game from it as well? Every time I use it I select a lobby from it an after a few minutes all I get is a message saying waiting for host? I then press escape in it goes back to the normal arma 2 style lobby with the dayz servers listed?

Eh. DayZCommander is completely better then Six Updater and the regular Server Browser. It allows you to Update both DayZ and ArmA: II (It says if there is a new update, and all you have to do is click ''Download'' - No need to go through Files, or get annoyed that Six Updater broke them. Likewise, you can also download DayZ Maps directly off it, and switch as freely as you like. You also don't need the Game running, you just select the server and Join, it'll run automatically..

As for your problem, you may be using an outdated version, or you're being kicked from the Server without it displaying that you have been. Try updating, or find out if you've been Globally Banned or just specific Servers. Also, check the Help section. There may be someone with the same problem and they may have solved it.

There are a lot of shitty servers out there. Some even give a good ping but are just stupid slow and you time out, get kicked out for being "idle" even though you were waiting for duders crappy server to respond, sit at "Waiting for host" until time out, or sometimes you actually get in and the server side lag is unplayable.

I started leaving notes for all the bad servers I join so I stop joining them! Next to the start icon is a little icon that looks like a sheet of paper or note. Click on that and leave a note! Mark servers that are really bad and then you can just ignore them in the future.
