My first busy server :)

I'll quickly explain my situation regarding servers. I have played my clans private server for a while, which half the regulars being members of my clan. Due to this, our quiet server was completely dominated by us. Through getting the heli we took all the vehicles through a team of 6 of us scavenging the map for parts and vehicles. We were first to all good loot due to our helicopter and as long as we weren't careless, we were unlikely to die. I only had two experiences of pvp on the server, and they were great but short.

Now, me and a couple of my friends decided we should play properly, enjoy starting fresh, in a far more dangerous server. A server where you knew that there was likely several other people in the major cities with you. Where you feared the airfield and stary for the highly geared players who might lurk further up north.

I had met a friend in cherno, who decided to head north to reach starry.I was weaponless, so scavenged cherno, which i somehow came out of without any damage or incidents with lots of food, a m1911 and a lee enfield. Things were looking good!

Eventually I made it to the south west airfield and tents. Before looting the deer stands, I spot some aggroed zombies.

I didn't want to kill the guy, but I didn't really want to save him either. I planned to watch him go, or warn him to move on. The deer stands were mine. I then saw another play spray the poor chaps organs out, who had little more than a hatchet to his name.

I watched him wander of to the hangars when a Bando buddy of his turns up and they loot the hangars together. Getting the binoculars out I see they have m4a cco's of some kind. I'm no talent when it comes to gaming, I rely on tactics rather than raw skill to beat players, and at 2v1, I'd need to be as sneeky as possible. I knew my enfield could take them out, but I needed to be clever.

As they hung around the watchtower, I sneaked around behind the hangars, to find one looking down the airstrip leaning out from the side of the hangar near the watchtower. Presuming he was guarding his friend, I shot him in the head and quickly ran up the watch tower. His bandit buddy scouted the area cautiously, so I waited until he came close. Fortunately, I avoided a fire fight with the bandit, as zombies decided they fancied a snack. As he dodged them, two shots sealed his fate.

Looting the bodies, I gained a nice m107, with 3 clips, m4a1 cc0 and lots of good gear.

I did feel bad for killing the non bandit, but he was with a bandit, and I didn't want to risk it. Maybe a bad attitude to have, and one I'd rather avoid, but greed and fear are a powerful force.

Do you think my justification for killing them is fair? Even I felt that I was going into a grey area. Thats what makes Dayz so special I guess.
