Players need a global value??

My question:

"Would players having a global value (so that by killing one person it will effect everyone, not just you and him/her) be a way to reduce thoughtless PvP?"

The reason I ask: It seems obvious that in real life we value eachother as a whole (whatever the reasons for it), even in a apocalypse our primal survial instinct would give stangers some value even if all morality went out the window.

An invented intrinsic value - eg. all PvP deaths change some global property (like loot, or zombie spawns) that effects everyones experience be it good or bad - this promotes a culture of thought before action.

how about mark a bandit that has x number of kills on the map for a brief moment from time to time and a server global message, this would give some end game to groups/clans of players and let them hunt each other instead of sniping new players.

People are going about this the wrong way, there doesn't need to be negative attached to killing people & being a bandit.

There needs to be more positives attached to not being a bandit to encourage people to be more honorable/less of a complete douche ^^

Hehe - yeah your totally right - all the perks are 100% in the bandist favour. But what they dont seem to realise is that they are "punishing" other players all the time without ANY thought to it at all - rules should be implemented not to stop bandits but make them think about killing someone, weighing the concequences and then taking the action that makes most sence in any given situation.

BTW, nobody has actually answered the original question :P . I belive it could, and this is how i see it being implemented:

oh i dunno Maby because they are murderers?

and this is a realistic simulator, not -insert random fps title here- and as far as i know murderers are getting punishment in the real world.
