• Walking Militia Rules •

Secure, Protect, Identify.

Rule #1 - Banditry is forbidden by any means, banditry may result in the removal from the organization.

Rule #2 - Respect your brothers and Alliances.

Rule #3 - Direct comm is to be used for communicating with other survivors, do not shoot them on sight and identify the situation. Shoot only if being shot at.

Rule #4 - Loot is to be shared amongst the organization and fellow survivors.

Rule #5 - Member's are forbidden to give out the location of any camp('s) unless authorized by an Officer+

Rule #6 - Do not get attached to your weaponry/items, you will lose it eventually. (This is not a rule but more of a general reminder. If you are not attached to your gear then you have less fear of fellow survivors.)

Rule #7 - Respect your CO.

Rule #8 - Hackers in our group will not be tolerated. Guests, Recruits, Members, Officers, or Leaders found hacking will be ex-communicated from the any and all things associated with the Walking Militia.

• Who are we? •

We are an organization based on the support of the Survivors, the people, and the anti-bandits that roam these lands. A organization of people based on the same cause who band together for the greater good, people who want to play the game how it seems and not just be shot all the time. A organization of brothers who look for justice against banditry and free-killing.

• What is our purpose? •

Secure, Protect, Identify. The Walking Militia's purpose is for the general greater good of the survivor's of this mod, for the people who truly need help in the end and need a head start into this god forsaken world, to ensure that you can trust another survivor again and have people to fall back to in the end.

• Why? •

Because someone has to bring justice to this world and show the people that some of us can still be trusted, while stories apon stories go on these forums questioning why people shoot on sight or ask why they were just killed for doing nothing towards their fellow survivors... We do not condone that type of behaviour and are anti-bandit, we fight for the better world and future trust from our fellow survivors. Backstabbing, bandits, players who thought they could trust before and have lost hope may turn to us as a new symbol of hope for this community, to bring to the people that they can trust once again... And hopefully change the way the DayZ Community is seen from here out.

• How can I join the cause? •

It is a evaluation process to join up on the Walking Militia, fill out the application and post it in this thread so we may review it later but you mainly need to play and communicate with us before we consider you to become a recruit, we do require you to be in Teamspeak in order for us to accept any new recruits, because communication is a vital key to keeping in contact with other members and potential recruits.

If you are accepted into the Walking Militia, you will be asked by an officer for your Profile Name and PlayerID so you may be added to the squad.xml

• What are the requirements? •

- A Microphone

- An age limit of 16+ (There can be exceptions.)

- Humanity of 2000+ (We can wait for your humanity to raise again.)

- The will to follow orders, and serve justice against banditry.

• Application Format •

Note: SteamID is not associated with Arma 2, PlayerID is associated with Arma2. You may find your PlayerID when you edit your profile in Operation Arrowhead.

Extra Information:

• What is the difference between a regular survivor and member? •

Regular Survivor and/or group

- Access to our Teamspeak 3 Server, DayZ Channels and certain WM TS3 Channels along with special privileges for TS3.

- The Aid of the Walking Militia if available. This can boil down to weapons, WM member's escorting you, or perhaps overwatch. It varies in the end. (Please remember that we can never guarantee support but can always try in the end, our resources might be low or some other reason may prevent us from aiding you.)

- Rare involvement with Operations. (Rarely do we do this, an example is if the survivor or another group starts a raid then we can become apart of said operation. )

- Joint Operations. (This mainly applies to alliances/groups that wish to work together who in the end may as well work closely to the Militia.)

Walking Militia Member

- Addition into the Squad.xml to prove your membership.

- An invite to the private steam group (Optional, and if unavailable not necessary.)

- Location and benefit of the WM Camp('s) (This applies to alliances and groups that are authorized by an Officer+)

- Extra support from the WM Member's (This applies to alliances and groups as well.)

- Involvement in raids and general operations, but also not limited to alliance raids and operations if authorized by the alliance/group.

- Access to the Militia Member Lobby's (This is not usually necessary to access, but when we are doing member only situations it may be required to move down into these lobbys.)

- Complete dedication to the Walking Militia and support of any alliances/groups that are benefited or benefit the Walking Militia.

- Guaranteed Anti-Banditry

We're serious about our cause and welcome any survivors that wish to talk and communicate with us, possibly offering support towards people who need it if we can. We do not conduct banditry in our organization and instead eliminate it as we see it amongst us or another group of survivors. For Liberty, For Justice, For the people.

The steam group we have is completely public for people to join and support our cause, however true militia members and staff will be apart of the private group that is listed above and as well they will be added to the squad.xml to ensure that you know who a WM Member is.

Last time we get near one of your Outposts (Big Airfield) some of you start shooting at us,...

We play on US 10 when in groups. Also, we don't have an outpost on US 85. Can we have some evidence before you try and ruin our reputation? Yes, Walking Militia is friendly, but if you do not respond to "Friendly?" You will be shot, we are not idiots looking to die.

I cant use the "Global chat" just "group" and "Direct" in 1.7.1 bug?

And im sure it was US85.

I dont try to ruin anything,...just wondering as i read this,... sorry >_>

Well, you did try and ruin our friendly rep. by saying we shot at you. Maybe a simple misunderstanding, I don't know. All I know is that we try our best to identify friendlies, which in a world like this, is deadly.

WM Members usually have a WM Profile/Squad next to their profile so you can identify who is who. Not everyone is updated into the system yet though.

We are always looking for new recruits, members, survivors and what not. I am not able to play until the FPS Issue is patched so I will not be able to help out. Joining Teamspeak and playing with us is the first step to become apart of this cause.

A damn shame that the two groups that I was originally with was shot on sight. It was good for the five minutes until someone went gun horny and blasted us down, oh well we still had fun.

So are you not recruiting anymore ? cause i think this would be good for me cause i tend to get hit by enemy fire even when i am unarmed and have nothing at all its bull im tired of dieing ... i wanna be able to play with a few people :)

I never stated that we aren't recruiting anymore. I found some random survivors and stated who I am and who my organization is, helped them out or attempted to and got shot by other individuals not with us.

Granted not many people are in TS nowadays but it doesn't hurt to try.

KyelLogen, That was US85 but it was [WD] who was shooting at you after a no reply. Sorry, though most of [WD] are friendly, as time goes by we are unfortunately changing our ideas about other players.

If you're willing to take a Swede in, I'd be up for it. I have other friends I play with so my character may be unavailable at times, but at least I can help with gathering supplies and helping those in my area. Not sure how often, but I should be able to have longer sessions of play as well, depends on my current character and who I'm playing with and whatnot.

Note: My character, and by extension, all my future/past characters, is bandit status. I killed on sight only when I felt threatened, but I did kill for gear and survival, usually as a last resort apart from self defense. I've stopped and I never shoot first nowadays, unless I know my target is a bandit or if I'm playing with a friend who opens fire first for whatever reason.

If you'd rather wait until I get my humanity back up (Not sure if it's low enough for the heartbeat) I can live with that. Just figure it's better if I'm just honest up front.

It's good to see people interested but we normally do not shoot at people unless they shoot at us. We tried helping someone in cherno but instead they just ran away and fell off the fucking docks to only be eaten by zombies later.

Come on guys :V

Also if no one is in Teamspeak I suggest trying later.
