DayZ Fps Discussion (HELP)

Recommended Posts

So basically I've been playing dayz for like a month now but I haven't had internet for a month (as I moved house) anyway in cites like eletroko n the big cites I get about 30 fps but in the open space/forest n all that I get 45-60 frames on average 40 overall playable I'd say but I've not played no other maps other than chernaus or w/e its called, all the new maps are much bigger would this mean I would lose a lot of frames? I've done all the cfg editing n all that stuff only thing I haven't done is ramdisk I heard it helps but as I haven't got internet for another 3days I wouldn't no if it helps me or not. My System Specs:

CPU: Intel Xeon 2.80GHz (2 CPU's)

MOTHERBOARD: (Not to sure come with HP workstation).

RAM: 2GB

OS: Windows 7 32bit (SP1)

GRAPHICS CARD: AMD 6770 1GB

PSU: 500w Cosair

should I be getting more fps or what will ramdisk do anything?, what would you call smooth (playable fps?) I've been playing arma 2 single player without internet, I don't know if all my drivers are up to date atm on device manager says they all are but not 100 percent so feed back please asap :) ty

your pc is outdated that you can get 30 fps is... unexpected

ram disc wont help you because the disc wont fit in your ram while running the game

"good/still playable" fps in games today are 30

"perfect" would be 60

fps are limited by the server and playercount

im amazed that the game runs on your system...

What do you mean disk won't fit :S, for xmas I'm getting new mobo, ram, cpu so yeah I'm sure ram disk will help even in slightest way 5 frames.. Its speeds up hdd loads textures quicker etc (I've got 1tb hdd).
