Breifing screen blacks out

I was trying to host a lan server for me and my bro to play on when I start the game the breifing screen apears then blacks out why? My computer is more than enough to handle it but why does the screen black on his computer and mine is there a file corrupted?

I have the same problem , I hear people saying that it has something to do with the fact that it is a LAN server and will not always connect to the DayZ Database, maybe try the @hive mod?

Maybe if the ports are open to what the database server uses
