GPS tracking system for vehicles.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

id like to share this thought... Think about a small gadget ingame you can attach to your vehicle. (Maybe sme way to remove?)

This way there could be 1 or more owners of one vehicle :D

would be hell of fun. the feature is already ingame. Just needs some fixing, On the servers where you can see where you are on the map you can also see your vehicle..

So. Just if that marker was added from an item that would be awsome! :)

I don't like the idea of GPS's or any Electronics in DayZ, this is post apocalyptic and as much as we know the virus could have spread around the world. I think with all the chaos there'd be issues with Electronics as a GPS runs off a Satellite.

There's some thoughts on the subject in these threads, have a look and see what you think.

I personally think the GPS makes map navigation WAY too easy, I would rather see anything GPS related, especially player markers on maps, removed from DayZ.

One of those topics (if memory serves) had some discussion about using Radio signals to track vehicles instead of GPS. I would prefer it done that way. (any excuse to get radios added ^_^)

At the very least the gps device should require batteries, same as any other electronic devices and I'm pretty sure that's going to be the case in the standalone.
