Bandit games at the Moto GP

Recommended Posts

After a break of a week I decided to log onto Lingor for a bit of jungle action. I log in to find myself in the jungle to the eastern side of the Moto GP and even before I had time to check my gear two twelve year old hero toons run straight past me not 10 feet away, completely oblivious to the bush like object with the M14 sticking out of it. Now I know they were just kids because they were giggling away in direct chat as they broke into the open field. They pulled up and lay prone for a bit, rolling back and forth while deciding where they were going to go.

Now I am old, I have no kids, I hate kids and If I was a parent I wouldn't let my child play this game until at least the age of 15 so I see it as my duty to put "squealers" down to deter them from playing. Needless to say those happy little tweeners are now in a shallow grave and they did Squeal. Well at least one did, the one that jumped up and decided to go to the GP not knowing he was about to run into me died instantly, but his buddy begged a little while pretending to be a log.

I checked the bodies Hurriedly and found a revolver but nothing of great value. Before I had time to feel more than a little guilty that they were practically unarmed, shots rang out from the raceway so I about faced and bolted back to the GP just in time to wing a survivor before the server restarted without warning.

Two minutes after logging back in I spy a survivor on the roof of the grandstand building possibly the guy I had winged and considered letting him go but as I scoped back out I saw the the smoke plume of a downed chopper. He died standing up with a forehead blood fountain.

The server was filling back up fast so I sprinted up the hill and checked out the loots asap, there was a Bizon and 2 FAL. My character was 28 days old at the time and I was beginning to get frustrated at my inability to find NVG and an AS50 so I decided to set up camp and see if I couldn't bag myself some well geared quarry. I dropped my M14 and placed the other weapons on the low side of the wreck then positioned myself in the jungle tree line 400m down the hill and the Zeds quickly despawned.

It had been quite a while since my DMR had been used and it felt good in my hands. Before I even had time to check distance with a marker I saw a survivor on the ridge but he disappeared just as fast without even seeming to notice the downed chopper. The Zeds took quite a while to disperse and I started to get the feeling that he was still up there, scouting the lay of the land, I crawled deeper under a bush and stayed dead still for the next fifteen minutes.

The whole while a compadre of mine was working his way toward my position descending from Los Peligron with his trusty L85/AS50 weapons combo in hand. At around 600m out he spotted an incoming bandit then promptly lost him again. A minute later the Zeds started to spawn then old towel head himself came into view and skirted the area before breaking off over the ridge towards the ocean.

I hadn't fired on him because I figured he would stop to loot giving me a static profile to bombard but now I doubted my decision. Maybe he had seen the average loot and just moved on, even worse maybe he had seen me and was moving around to flank. I crawled deeper under a bush and stayed dead still for the next fifteen minutes.

My buddy moved into overwatch position to cover my flank while still being able to see most of the target area, he was still on the high side of the wreck and couldn't see the loot pile but I was feeling much safer with him there. Suddenly the bandit was back and making his way out from the lowest eastern cover, he would have been invisible to anyone at a high vantage point and indeed my partner could only see the Zeds as they fanned out.

This guy knew what he was doing, he had taken time to scout, biding his time and moving to the best point of insertion before rushing out at full speed to get as close as possible before the zeds had time to spawn, crawling the final few meters before stopping to loot.

My first shot went over his head by inches and as he spun toward me I put a round in his shoulder, he rolled left once before my final shot went between his eyes and my heart rate began to slow, but the Zeds didn't despawn. It now dawned on me that the survivor who had first come by had met up with the bandit and although still in the game had made the mistake of getting to close.

Realising my predicament I quickly fell back into the forest before the infected converged on my position, further exposing me to the second foe. I crawled deeper under a new bush and stayed dead still for the next fifteen minutes.

Finally the bandit asked in side chat who had killed him and could they please not bury him as he wanted to collect his fat loots. There is a good chance at this point that I would have broken cover looted and buried his body had I not known he had an accomplice waiting to end me. Instead I told him I was sure his friend would watch over his corpse and logged off as I had guests arriving for dinner.

On my return to teamspeak I was informed that it took only a few minutes for them to notice my absence. Bandit number two had looted his mates body before heading up the hill only to try on a new 50cal hat.
