FPS problems?

Hiya I'm running a I5 3570K @ 4.4, 8GB of Ram, Windforce x3 670, 1215/3500

680+ Performance

I'm having problems with FPS I would like to think my Setup would be able to handle this game at 60 FPS

I'm dipping into 40 FPS, people on other forums have said you can edit registry to increase FPS by making Day z notice that you have a quad core processor and little tweaks and I was hoping as you guys are all playing Day Z you might have some knowledge on the matter to increase FPS

As when the FPS drops to 40 FPS my graphics card is only at 50 percent usage I want to find a way to increase the percentage to ensure 60 FPS as it makes the game much more enjoyable.

-cpuCount=3

to the launch options.

Sometimes after I respawn, I have huge FPS issues. I can only solves this by restarting ARMA.

Have you tried testing with regular OA levels? Server lag (too many zombies, hasn't been reset in hours - that sort of thing) can make you client get some really nasty FPS based "lag"

Lag doesn't effec FPS, I have fraps running it goes to 40 for absolutely no reason

You bet your scrawny ass it does in DayZ. Compare a server that has been running for an entire day to one that has been restarted and you'll see a noticeable difference straight away. Not just in terms of latency but actual FPS.

Yes, it's the game.

People with low-end systems can get decent FPS whereas people with high-end systems could get crap FPS.

It's not always an Arma II problem, but a DayZ mod problem. I can run Arma II fine, but when I try running DayZ it's a slideshow even if I'm in the middle of the forrest with no towns or zombies around.

It must have a bunch of random loops running all the time or something. I dunno, Arma doesn't do this but DayZ makes it just run terrible.

According to the patch notes of the upcoming patch, the performance should be considerably better, and more on the way.

If you're not dying to try out the game right now, right here - hang around and follow the patches. See if people start changing their "this game runs so slow" tune.
