Even if they will make the standalone for another OS as well then it would be Mac OSX and not Linux. There are almost no games for Linux. Linux isn't made for gaming. If you want to play games get Windows.

Thankyou for your suggestion that is really a request, of course we'll do a linux version of dayz. It is our number one priority to ensure that both of the worlds linux users get their very own re-coded version, and the months of work will be well worth it I'm sure.
