Darkness...

Just thinking about ways to make darkness more enjoyable since it's just so dark! (and no one wants to expose themselves by using a light source) I think depending on a light source at night is a reasonable expectation so people should feel not at a complete disadvantage for using it. So making light sources more available and easier to use should be a priority. This can easily be fixed by having flashlights not take up a weapon slot. Now, even if this were implemented people would still not use flash lights at night, it's just too dangerous! Well we need to fix that. First off, it's night. Who in their right mind would sprint at full speed at night? Any wrong step could lead to a broken leg. So, why not make it impossible to sprint without a flash light or other light source? Now, even with this implemented people would still not use the damn flash light! So why not reduce the accuracy on guns in darkness? And possibly allow the flashlight to be used with certain guns to increase accuracy?) I'd also recommend removing NVG. I know some people love to "go hunting" with them but it really is a cheesy way to play.

TLDR:

• Flashlights no longer take up a weapon slot.
  
• Sprinting at night requires a flashlight. (Or add a chance to break a leg when sprinting in darkness!)
  
• Accuracy on guns is reduced in darkness.
  
• The flashlight can be used with some guns to improve accuracy. (Light sources in general can improve accuracy.)
  
• Possibly remove NVG. (Cheesy/Unfair)

breaking a leg would be a little much, Spraining a ankle is a interesting concept

but taking away spring just cause it's dark is silly

the rest is silly, except removal of NVG. I 100% agree they are unfair as they are atm

if they did what was in my Powerplant post, then I be fine with NVG's in dayz

Solution to ALL these problems:

When its night, go to "sleep" (stop playing). Bandits cant get you, you don't need a flashlight, all problems avoided!

Or is their a reason to stay up playing to the ass crack of dawn, such as more loot or something?

I agree with everything except the removal of nightvision. If these features were implemented you could make it so you can't run with NVG's on. Its hard as shit to do in real life. Thus giving people without NVG an advantage(I can out run people!)
