Private hive hosting on your own computer?

Hi,

Is it possible to host a private server from my home without buying a server?

I would like to host from my home and MAYBE be able to add some simple things like 2 helicopters instead of 1

I've been searching on google but i haven't found a lot of usefull information, i hope anyone knows the answer to all this.

If you do, maybe you can post some links or threads that will tell me what to do.

it is, but you need to understand that it takes a ton of bandwith.

most servers you buy have 100 up, and 100 down. While you probably have 15 down, and MAYBE 3 up.

It is possible to do a home server it is pretty simple to do.

But it is only good to do when you are only playing with probably 4-5 people and have a good internet connection and a fast machine.

sounds great though, maybe if a few friends wanted to get on and have some fun without risk of hackers etc and complete control over the server.
