kevindbrum@yahoo.com 0 Posted June 15, 2012 I recently got the DayZ mod and it was obviously made to be a multi-player game. However if you launch DayZ and then like me, died and disconnected, you are taken to the ArmA 2 CO menu and you will notice that the DayZ mod is enabled. If you click on single player and you go to the editor, if you spawn a unit and you go to civilian, there will be a drop down menu that will say "Men" "Women" and at the very bottom of the drop-down "Zombie".I started thinking about all the cool possibilities of a large military convoy taking on an army of zombies and what-not. I wanted to see how many zombies it would take to take down a soldier with military weapons. However I tried doing a test run to see if the zombies were the same in the editor as in the DayZ mod. They looked the same but they do not attack even when fired upon. I assume this is because they are under the civilian section but I looked in all other sections are there is no other zombie section. I obviously didn't expect any of the DayZ mod mechanics to carry over into the editor but I was at least expecting some base zombie hostility. I tried putting two right next to eachother and then gunning one down hoping the other would attack but it didn't. Does anyone know how to make the zombies hostile? PITN (DayZ) 2 Posted June 15, 2012 Most of the scripts that make DayZ work are on the Server and not the Client (your computer). While you can spawn zombies you can't make them work. Not all is lost though. You can spawn in some guns and zombies and practice sniping with the weapons like the CZ, M24 and DMR etc. You could also spawn in vehicles like the Takistan Huey and practice flying and explore the map.
