Black Screen

My game use to work. But now when I launch the game my screen will go black for a few seconds, flash the game screen for half a second then go to black again. I think this happens when the game is rendering things in the distance. My video card is not over heating, and it is not using all of its power.

I have a GTX 460 1GB,

i5 750 2.6 GHz

8GB Ram

Windows7 64 Ultimate.

The game use to work just fine, now I cant play it because my screen just goes black and I can't figure out if it was a setting I changed. I reset my settings to default, validated files through steam, and reinstalled arma2 and CO.

i get the odd time that it just freezes at the black screen. sometimes it's just a LONG pause other times i have to just shut down the window and restart on a different server.

however, eventually i'm usually able to eventually get in.

The problem is that it happens on the menu and in game. It makes changing settings difficult. I have updated graphics card drivers, and the problem still persists.

I fixed the problem by changing the refresh rate in the .cfg folders.

It was set on 60 when my monitor runs on 120.
