Frame rate issues

Hello Guys!

I've been playing Dayz for like 2 months and it the most fun game i ever played. But in the cities and a little bit in the woods my fps drops very much.

My specs:

CPU= Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

GPU= Asus geforce GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II 1GB RAM (Pixel shader version 5.0, Vertex shader version 5.0)

Ram= 4 GB

OS= Windows 7 Ultimate

Does someone has a solution?

I'm not an expert but your processor is due an upgrade, also many people with great pcs experience lower frames in days mod, this is going to be addressed in the standalone which is far better optimised,

yea people say arma 2 draws more from your CPU than GPU so its probably your processor that needs an upgrade.

I myself play on a laptop fine at 30-50 fps :P

Do you play through Steam. I've read that they (Steam) recommend;

• Login to Steam
  
• Click Steam > Settings > In-game.
  
• Uncheck the box next to Enable Steam Community In-Game
  
• Restart Steam and test this issue once more.
  

I'm guessing you have a socket 775 mobo. DDR 1, 2 or 3? Sata 1, 2 or 3? "FSB"/HT? 4gigs of ram? Was this a "store-bought" PC? Do you run a 64-bit O/S? Onboard Audio? (do you know what chipset it is?)
