Kh4zy 1 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) Hi all.I started at DayZ a few days ago. The strange thing that i cant really play the game smooth, or even with a decent fps with all at low and running 1920x1080My specs are Intel i7 2760QM (sandy bridge) 2.2 boost to 3.1 GHZ6GB DDR3 RAMNvidia Geforce GT 630M 2GB DDR5Running on Windows 7 64 BitWhat could cause this problem? I run battlefield at low and even with a 50-85, so what could be wrong? Is ARMA 2 just too demanding?Im also running all the latest updates for all the hardwareHope someone can help meThanks in advance :) Edited October 26, 2012 by Kh4zy
Hendrus01 6 Posted October 26, 2012 Okay, It seems like your Pc isn't the problem. Do you play only at one server? Sometimes the Server is the problem.I was on Serval Servers with a FPS rate of 7, on Other Servers my Fps are between 60 and 80 Frames per second. But one Tip: Close some Programms when you playing, like Internet Explorer or Firefox or chrome. Hope I Could help.
Kh4zy 1 Posted October 26, 2012 I always close programs & browsers down on some games. No need if im only playing CS 1.6 or something, but i have closed everything down, so the only thing that is running is steam and ESET NOD32 Anti virus
st3p (DayZ) 0 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) hey there :PI'm like having the same problems since I started playing DayZ. My hardware is a bit weaker than yours, exact specs:Windows 7 64-bitIntel i5 2410m @ 2.30GHz (2.90 with turboboost)6GB RamNvidia Geforce GT 520MI think from what the people are saying my laptop should be able to play the game quite good, Arma II itself runs just fine without any lags..Still on DayZ I get smooth frames, 30-35 (yep, thats smooth for me :D) and in the next moment it keeps lagging (down to 7 or something)It's just always changing from smooth to lag :PI'd appreciate any help, since I just can't figure out the problems; Arma II runs pretty good as I said..Thanks in advance, guys ;p Edited October 26, 2012 by st3p

st3p (DayZ) 0 Posted October 27, 2012 (edited) thanks for the answers so far :)I tried out all the things but still it keeps lagging.. The mouse feels a lot better though, thanks a lot for that :DSomehow I keep thinking that it might also have to do with my internet connection, since the fps constantly go up to 30-35, drop down to 7-11 and go up again, even if I don't do anything oO in cities it's almost the same, I don't really see a major decrease of the fps there.I have a ping of around 50-60 in the game though, so I don't really know what the problem could be :PDue to canyourunit.com my laptop should meet the recommended requirements for Arma II and OA, which should include Dayz.I don't really know what I can do anymore, all I know is that my laptop should be able to handle the game, but unfortunately Dayz doesn't like me :( :D Edited October 27, 2012 by st3p
Kh4zy 1 Posted October 27, 2012 Thanks for the answers :) That boosted my fps to around 40-60, and normally i was around 10-25fps :)

Hendrus01 6 Posted October 28, 2012 The Internet connection couldn't be the reason for your laggs. My riend has currently a Ping from 200 to 300 and he still playing the game with 40 Fps.
