some servers super laggy like my computer sucks?

so sometimes I log into a server and everything is moving really choppy like I'm running it on a super old computer, I would say it's one out of every 6-7 servers I try, most run just fine but every now and then I find one that the performance is just horrible, anyone else get this sometimes? I know it's not my computer because as I said most servers run just fine

Have you made sure you've updated Arma II, DayZ and whatever maps you might be going on to the latest version? I find that Arma II version differences can mess up my FPS so I always try to get the latest version/match the server.

I think that can mean the server hasn't been re-started for ages. Is it a server with active admins? If not that might be the issue.

Sounds feasible. We find some servers just run like shit sometimes. It is definitely server-side though cos it affects multiple people. All you can do is find another server to play on as some become utterly unplayable.
