DayZ disconnects right after game start

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have played DayZ for quite some time now, an I really enjoy the game.

However, recently, every time I join a server, it takes 0-60 seconds before the yellow connection icon appears, followed by the red and I lose connection. Other players can see that "player *me* is losing connection", and then battle eye kicks me off.

I have not done any changes other than updating ARMA 2 to version 98220.

I currently use DayZ Commander 0.9.0.95 and DayZ 1.7.2.6.

I have so far tried to disable the firewall, running ARMA via Steam, downgrading to ARMA 2 97771, opening UDP port 2302 and 2303 and reinstalling everything to no avail..

Sys info:

Windows 8, 6.2.9200

ARMA and OA full version bought separately.

All help is appreciated, I am no longer able to play :(

Update:

I tried playing with cellphone as a tether modem over 3G, but the same problem persists. - Thus ruling out the ISP, modem, router or wireless connection.

The arma2OA.RPT log makes me none the wiser...

Well, I sort of solved the issue..

By using system restore to roll back windows to before the first error occurred, everything works as intended.

In this process i had to uninstall AVG, but I doubt it had anything to do with it.
