Sons of Chernarus, I call on you to ask yourselves, as this plague continues to consume our countrymen and our families, where have our benefactors gone? Russia, once so keen to exploit our peoples, has closed their borders, even to the hapless, innocent refugees. The Americans, once unable to find a country they didn't want to invade in the name of "freedom", have stopped all military and humanitarian operations in the country, despite their strong presence in Takistan. Even Nationalist and Communist forces - men some of the more desperate among us may have turned to in recent struggles - have all but dried up, the remainder fighting amongst themselves in the hills on the Russian border.

As for our own military... well, I'm sure you've all heard the rumours of a military withdrawal of all able CDF forces in South Zagoria, and I, with a heavy heart, am here to confirm those rumours; the native sons of the north, those who swore to protect their neighbours from all evil, have gone down with their families to Novigrad. To defend whom, we must ask. The politicians? The bastards who own those politicians? We worked their factories, paved their roads, sent them their bread, and finally gave them our own blood, but that ends now!

We have been left moribund, soudrouzi. Some of us starve; some of us run and hide from bandits; some of us run from those... living dead, but we of the Black Party, the party of all peoples, will tolerate no more of this! If you decide to join our ranks - and for what reasons wouldn't you? - we will provide you with protection, food, water, weapons, and even training. We ask not what your ethnicity or political beliefs may be or even if you hold any, we ask only that you dedicate yourself to your fellow Black Party members. We are all brothers in arms in this struggle, and safe in the knowledge that you've someone to cover your back, we shall march forward into the morning light, one day triumphant! I know some of you are eager just to escape alive, finding a new home in Novigrad, and if that is indeed your choice, we will not keep you from gathering supplies and heading west, but if you choose to stay and fight like a true son of this land, know that out of the ashes, Chernarus will always arise anew! When that moment comes - when those infected have been given their proper deaths, when the bandits have been hunted down to atone for their crimes against their own brothers and sisters - The Black Party shall still be there, helping return you to life not just as it once were, but as something much greater. When the day comes, you will be your own masters. You will be free. You will be happy.
