DayZCommander is stuck.

Recommended Posts

Well, I start up DayZ Commander and it says Loading, then it says Applying Update. Then it says loading and then applying update. It just does that repetitively. I don't know how to fix it, and I've already reinstalled the commander. Help please.

What are you installing? DayZ, a beta patch, or a map for DayZ? With DayZ commander, first make sure that your steam processes are closed, that ArmA and or DayZ is not running. Then, restart DayZ commander. When you go to update, it will most likely get to 100 percent, then say verifying or installing or something like that. After about 3-5 minutes, keep restarting DayZ commander and going back to hit install, and don't be afraid if it looks like it has to redownload the whole thing again, because it won't. After you restart it a few times, the info should register and it will be installed in DayZ commander's eyes. I don't know why you have to restart it a few times, but if you don't it will keep you waiting forever. Even so, you need to do this regardless of what you install, DayZ patch to ArmA beta patch or map.

If the above was useless and you mean when you first boot the program, then restart your computer, end steam processes, then start DayZ commander. If it still persists, try uninstalling it via control panel, then going into your program files and cleaning up the spare files. Then reinstall with the setup and hopefully it will run. If not, try running as admin as suggested by the post above.
