should i buy arma 2 now for dayz?

I dont just want it for dayz but regular multiplayer do alot of people still play it?? How is dayz ps i have arma 2 free and i like it but no one uses tactics can you recommend a good clan?

or should i just wait for standalone also does anyone know if standalone and the arma 2 dayz can play with each other?

In your position- I would say if it's taken you this long to think about DayZ; you might as well wait for the standalone.

i went ahead and bought arma ii and arma ii OA just for day z, i have slightly below the minimal requirements, and must play on Very Low gfx settings... frame rate takes a hit here and there, but it's still playable on my cruddy laptop until i can upgrade the old desktop lol

and this game is awesome i love it, but i still have to figure some things out... had a good experience tonight finally coming across some players in a town by accident, im glad they were friendlies they helped a lot... then got shot by a sniper a little bit later :P love this game though, can't wait to get a new desktop going with some decent graphics and most definitely look forward to the standalone coming out!

You should buy it for ArmA II. I recommend you playing Warfare where you have to capture the Chernarus (you can be east or west, or insurgents if 3 sides are avilable) or you can play some cooperation missions (like domination) with ACE2 modification (it changes and adds a lot of things like weight system or wind when you are shooting).

Don't forget that that now you have ArmA2 and OA you have access to hundreds of other cool mods too.
