Banned from US 303 Dallas for Hacking Damage?

Hi, just got banned from US 303 Dallas while crawling through the grass. I've played on this server for the past couple of days figuring the game out, and would like to still play on it since it's a local server for my friends and I. Not really sure how I was flagged for hacking. Also I'm not sure if this is the right venue for appeals, I'm not sure how to contact the server admins. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

Same thing just happened to me. It actually started a couple days ago, when all the sudden everyone on the server went into about a 5hr hourglass thing. And the timer stayed no matter what other public server I went to. Server usually holds a steady 30+ people. Now I can only see about 3 servers in the browser.

Not sure if BattleEye sucks and is banning random players, or hackers can now ban too (we already know they can teleport everyone and kill us, like the other day).

I just noticed that! Sucks, but feels good to know I'm not the only one. I was worried that I had somehow found a glitch or something that I'd never be able to replicate.

I got the hourglass thing last night as well. I just went idle figuring I'd starve or something, came back and I had finally died.

I tried posting in the ban appeal section on the website for this server, but they didn't believe me. Perhaps if enough of us are having the same problem, they'll realize we aren't doing any hacking. http://clansm.net/fo...php?f=26&t=3284

And come to think of it, the few days I was able to play on this server, I must've seen at least 20+ people getting banned for some sort of Damage Hack.

Meanwhile, actual hackers must be rolling on the flor laughing at us and the admins. I'll see if I can ask for a refund, I shouldn't have bought this game. I also bought a new HDD and 4gb of RAM just to play it =/

I've unbanned that entire streak of bans that happened for that tonight. They were caused by a hacker inducing that on other players. It's a relatively new problem. I review all bans on the server about twice a day (for submission to the DayZ Community Banlist), and I eventually would have realized it.

Also, if you ever want to appeal a ban, it's always faster to post in the forums at clansm.net. If you post here, I generally won't notice it until I get a Google Alert about it.

Ernest: I only didn't unban you because you story was totally bogus (was referring to something a few days ago), you had a different name today (when you were actually banned), normally the detection you got is conclusive, and I didn't notice that a ton of other people had been banned at the same time.

I doubt I got scammed, I bought it from Steam. I've heard there was a free version of Arma 2, but it wasn't recommended so I didn't bother trying it.

DayZ is a free mod for Arma 2: Combined Operations. Nobody bought DayZ.

I don't know what else to tell you then, other than that's exactly what happened. I was perma-unconscious at the same time it happened to my friends and others. I kept logging on once and a while to check if it went away yet, and the last time I did, it banned me for some damage hack... even though I was unconscious and couldn't do anything (not even access the game menu or chat). I left the game open so I'd die from hunger since my friends wouldn't run to save me... alt-tabbed back in, and anti-hack has banned me... I've been playing this game for months, having to deal with the rampant hackers on almost every server until I find yours, which I played on for a few days and never had to deal with a hacker. Only thing left I could think to do would be to try and contact the Dayz team themselves. =\

And yes I changed my name. I figured the unconscious thing was a bug in the game, and I'd try everything, including changing my profile to try and fix it. Cause I googled the problem and no one else seemed to have a fix for it, other than letting themselves die of starvation.

You're already unbanned, Ernest, as you were indeed part of the batch the hacker caused. I was just explaining why didn't unban you when you first asked. That's why I said "normally" and explained that I "didn't notice".

Also, I've adjusted the settings on the server so mass-bans for this specific thing (setdamage hacking) won't ever happen again.
