holding out, melee weapons and vehicle attacks

Recommended Posts

first of all, i dont know if any of these things are possible with the arma engine. so if they arent possible, oh well, but i think they would be cool.

to start, i tihnk being able to hop onto the hood or roof of a car or dumpster or some other higher ground, wether by jumping or some sort of climbing animation, so u can fend of a large group of zombies would be really cool. i think it woulkd add a little bit to the realism of surviving to the game. being stranded on top of a car fighting of 20 zombies with a hatchet seems like it would be invigorating. but it would also make u more vulnerabel to bandits.

as for melee weapons, i think maybe haveing a few more to choose from would be great, such as a pipe u might find in an industrial spawn, or maybe be able to rip one off of a building. maybe even a 2x4.

and maybe if ur vehicle is parked, wether its a car truck or chopper, haveing zeds be able to reach in through windows if they are broken, or even break them to get in. maybe even pull u out and knock u down.

like i said, i dont know if these things are possible with the engine in use, but i think they would be very interesting and help the game be even more immersive and challenging. i apologize if any of these ideas have already been posted, i did a quick scan of topics and didnt see anything similar, but i didnt look real hard either. anyway, just my 2 cents worth. looking forward to standalone guys, thx for all your hard work so far.

Beans for productive first post :beans:

As for the idea, I have no knowledge of game engines, but this is definitely something I'd enjoying witnessing/experiencing for myself.
