Fixing the engine?

How do you fix the engine on a car? My friend and me looted for two days to get all the parts, the tiers, engine parts, jerry cans etc. We fixed it, but culdn't find a way to fix the engine, so we just drove off.

The car (jeep, UAZ whatever it's called) drove for around 2 minutes before blowing up and killing us both.

Correct, tough sometimes you have to be close to the vehicles engine for the repair command to show.

Yeah but i circled it a couple of times still nothing on the mw menu :/

So, it was a bug, it DOES repair that way?

Engine repair works the same as all the other types, yes. It should show up on the menu in the color of the damage level at which the engine sits.

Any time I get a case of dick menu I find going prone and jiggling back and forth like a spastic worm helps sometimes.
