Need a little advice when setting up a tent.

I'm looking to set up a tent for storage. I've set up two before, one was in a stupid obvious location which was more of an experiment, the second was I thought in a good place but vanished over night although it just has some food/drink in it and a revolver plus ammo. After some lurking on here I know where some people like to set up their camps but I'm wondering how secure it will be in terms of hackers. I intend to set up on a low population server I like to use, one where I've stumbled accros a camp before and it still remains but mine will be in a more more obscure location.

Any more advice would be great.

I'd make sure the server you're putting it on is reliable, IE not going to shut down after so many months. I'd also suggest putting away from towns, deer stands etc. Deep in the forest by a bunch of pine trees etc.

When you find your "perfect" site. "I" set the tent up, save it about 3~4. logout, login. Fill with some gear, save again 3~4 times, relogin, g2g. Never had a problem with tents other than I tried putting two of the same backpacks into the same tent but the count stayed at one so I "did not save" tent after taking backpack out. I alt+f4, log back in and the original pack was there. (idk all the in's&out's with what/how to store items. :blush: )

Perhaps looking over an online map with loot spawns. pick an outbuilding that doesn't have any spawns around or any reason to be a "stop-point" for anybody's travel. I actual have a few tents set-up in the heart of Cherno. Ghillie suit has been there for a few days now (made a female character not knowing in Arma2's eye, they are inferior <_< ). Found many a camp site on rugged ridge between Cherno and Elektro..on many server's p.s. Sorry to the dude I traded the Lee Enfield for the M4 + the PDW :D

know it will be found, just choose a place you like and good for water and food, not too far from the locations of the tours you mean to do

Well I hid mine at the very end of the woods up north. I had it in just the right position so that so you could see it if you came from a certain angle at a certain time of day. Yeah it was one good tent spot. I hid like 15 weapons in it (I had two tents) and tons of ammo and supplies. I played on a fairly high pop server and came across several went set up camp sites with good gear. I guess it's just a matter of getting lucky and your tents not being spotted. Hiding them farther up north is best though. In my experience at least.

1) Find a good place to put tent

2) Look at ground, open inventory

3) Right click tent

4) move over a step, spam Set Tent

works for me quite a bit.
