More vehicles!

This is a very simple suggestion for the standalone. More cars. Not all have to be enter-able but main roads should be clogged with cars mainly because if something did happen people would flee cities via main roads.

this is something that frustrates me. if some cars are blown up and just left with a rusty body frame, how come none of the houses are destroyed? did a nuke only effect the cars, or did zombies have the wits to burn cars? I do not believe cars/vehicles should be everywhere, but every family usually has a bicycle that would be left if they took the car to escape town......

It is a good idea but then it will end up being GTA DayZ, sometimes having 80 vehicles on a private server is a nightmare, just chaos everywhere... in my own experience keeping my feet well and truly on the ground keeps me alive longer.

I also agree that the cars couldn't have de-graded so fast but at the end of the day it does add more of an atmosphere, Like the world has truly ended!

I don't mean that you can drive all of them, I mean just burnt out or destroyed cars with maybe some basic loot clogging up main roads.

I agree on the cosmetic side, think of every zombie game/film, cars are dumped all over the roads. They don't have to be drivable, it just adds so much more of end of the world and everyone's dead type of feel and would increase cover massively.

Maybe in the future make the repairing of cars more difficult. Not just "add engine parts" to fix the engine. Hell I wish I could access that menu on MY car. I'd save a lot of time diagnosing and no more bloody knuckles. Maybe the battery is dead, nothing turns on, so you scavenge one from another car. Car will turn over, but doesn't fire. You pull a plug, they smell like fuel, you use a screwdriver to test for spark there's none. Find distributor, and now it works! Fuel leak? Cut some hose from another car to replace the damaged section. Just more like that, so you can have more drivable cars, but very few ready to roll. There should be little fuel (maybe you can siphon it out of other cars), but you need a garden hose. Also you need tools to fix the engine. I know that'd be difficult to implement but sounds cool for a long term goal, no?

You could also have some parts on the cars that are salvage-able.(Maybe something like 1/10 cars on a highway have a salvage-able part).

You could also have some basic loot in these cars like food, basic medical equipment or even the odd ammo magazine.

I agree, more cars sounds good, I would prefer gathering the parts of the car you need like wheels or parts from other cars too instead from factories,

same for the fuel, you should be able to take gasoline out from a car fuel tank using some kind of plastic tube and refill your empty cans until the car gasoline depletes; that would add random spots for fuel also, some cars will have more fuel than others or none at all.

When one car fuel tank is depleted, it could spawn randomly in another car, same if someone take a motor part from a car it could respawn in another random car around the world.
