Can you get banned for playing on password servers?

I've seen a few posts recently for hive servers with passwords and what not, and I could have sworn that you'd get a ban for having a server like that. Can you get banned for playing on a private server?

Yes, if the server is Battleye enabled you can get get a global ban.

If not Battleye enabled you can get a local ban.

Added:

You cant get banned because you play on a passworded server.

you can get banned on them for hacking, duping and the like ...but you will not be banned simply for playing on a private server with a pw .... the pw helps keep douche bags out!
