Vanamun 2 Posted October 16, 2012 It’s a simple and small idea. We all know the random empty cans and other trash that litter possible loot locations. With all the beans, soda, bullets, blood packs, and other things players pick up. Players don’t just consume an item and the can disappears in our inventory. when a player eats beans or uses a blood pack or even shoots a gun (to get really specific) the can, empty blood pack, (not bullet shells), go’s back into the inventory and then the player can drop the trash, or hide it to avoid leaving a trail. Simple idea, but in the right situation, can lead a bandit right to you or my hidden camp. whitch sounds like something that would keep me on more of an edge.
Zeppa 562 Posted October 16, 2012 So you didnt bother to search?I did it for you, there are many others too.. so sry, nothing original here.http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/16663-leaving-trash-after-eatingdrinking/page__hl__trash
Nasakenai 34 Posted October 16, 2012 Like the idea and suggested something similar in the past. I don't think it should go in your pack though, it should go on the ground (same thing with empty mags). The careless player who doesn't think to pick up after themselves leaves a trail that can be taken advantage of by others.
magmatrix 38 Posted October 16, 2012 it should go on the ground (same thing with empty mags). Why the hell would you drop an empty mag? You keep it, and refill it when you find ammo.Examples:- If i have a PDW with 30-round mags, i want to keep them and reload them from G17 mags or with single rounds.- If i have a 1911 and find some boxes with 45ACP, then i need a mag to put them in.- I want to use machine gun ammo belts to reload my empty STANAG mags.and so on... birdman 108 Posted October 17, 2012 Why the hell would you drop an empty mag? You keep it, and refill it when you find ammo. The only reason would be if you are chock full of mags and all the ammo you find is in magazines already. Still, I agree with you.
