being banned from own server

Hi, today I was being banned from my own server for nothing.

I was running around with a friend and suddenly "You were Banned", nothing else.

Pulled the Bans.txt but my GUID wasnt in there. The server logs only say :

22:06:16 Player VentZer0: Wrong signature for file d:\games\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\Expansion\dta\bin.pbo
22:06:16 Player VentZer0 disconnected.

I didnt change ANYTHING. I was ingame minding my own buisness. I rebooted, redownloaded, reinstalled, updated my ARMA2OA ... but all that didnt help.

I can join some other servers, but I cant join my own (DE 1712) it only says "You were banned". I'm not in the community-banlist (why should I be in there anyways).

Now everytime I join the server says this:

22:08:05 VentZer0 uses modified data file
22:08:05 Player VentZer0 connecting.
22:08:05 Player VentZer0 disconnected.

I tried to disable all the verification stuff in the server.cfg but nothing helps.

WHAT THE FUCK is wrong here?

First Find your player ID number in your game profile.

Then goto the server arma2 root directory.

Find file called ban.txt in the root directory.

Open up with text editor and find your player ID from the list and remove it.

Save file. You can now play again.

If you find yourself in the list again after rejoining your server.

A fresh install of arma 2 and dayz is the only way to fix it

as you might have a corrupt file.

ok first of all theres no ban.txt in the root folder. theres just a bans.txt in the battleye folder and my GUID is not in there.

second I can join other servers but somehow all the server of the same hoster are offlimits for me at the moment.

I'm installing arma2 step by step now with all DLCs and so on

Tell your server provider you need your server reinstalled? Kind of excessive to fix the problem but it WOULD work.

ok i tried to reinstall everything and even cleaned the registry by hand of all arma entries. nothing.

isnt there a different way to resolve this issue without having to reinstall the server?

The ban(s).txt of ARMA2 is closer to the root level with regards to the directory structure. You have to go a few levels higher as opposed to the BE directory. You might also want to check your server.cfg as there's a bit about being either kicked or banned for modified data (it's set to kick by default, but in your case it's definitely set to ban). Remove yourself from the .txt and set the setting in server.cfg to kick and you should be fine. The worst that could happen is that you or other players get kicked once in a while, but an ARMA2 restart should fix that most of the time.

Don't disable the other signature check! My .cfg looks approximately like this one and seems to work just fine.

eventhough it says kick im still getting banned every fucking time i try to join my own server
