How's hacking on Chernarus ? Do you recommend playing on hives ?

We did the same over on uk227 ..after all the nukes,teleporting,dancing,droping from the sky,getting shot from the sea,random vehicles and guns not in the game ..we decided to whitelist our server and we also have a few antihack programmes running most of which have been painstakingly edited by our clan members to get the best results ..on top of that we have 6 admin on shift 24/7 to ensure that no foul play goes on ..the remaining logs are then fine tooth combed for any other disguses that hacks use (like spawn medical box and hide ammo in it ) .. So far its been working a treat .. The admins are really helpfull too say you want to play in more daylight for longer they will restart the server setting the clocks back so you and friends can keep playing .. -
Well, here's what I've learned about coords: [147,[13301.4,3238.12,-0.035]] 147 = The direction it's facing in degrees 13301.4/100 =133.01 (East/West) 3238.12 is the tricky one as North/South is reversed in the game engine. It's not perfect but if you plug that number into this equation: 152-(3238.12/100) It gives you 119.62 (North/South) Finally, and I think this is the issue I didn't notice before, -0.035 should be the elevation. Giving you the final, DayZDB equivalent of 133/119 but I think your chopper is spawning under the island. However, as that equation isn't perfect, I'd check this whole area in case it slid down the front or back hill: I've used that method to track scrtipters, their gear, their tents and their shitty ass vehicles without a problem.

This topic is for those who are in search of active, mature-enough players to play dayz maps. Little info on what we do. We make a group call in Skype, find a Vilayer server(only servers we play on), we find each other using vehicles/running/helicopters. After we get ready to hop to a more populated server to encounter more people who could be friendly or bandits. From there gentlemen whatever happens, happens. We do not joke around shooting each other, if you do so, you will be looked down upon, and if continued, will be killed and blocked from Skype. We encourage more players who are experienced, so finding each other won't be a hassle when dealing with new comers. Also if you have a really annoying kid voice, we will block you from the start. Typical regular maps we play on frequently: Chenarus, fullujah, lingor, namalsk, zargabad Requirements: 18+ must have Skype all maps downloaded or will be downloaded must live within 1-3 hour time zones from PST if you have any other questions feel free to send me a message on here or skype my skype username mdmiked

Do you have map control? Meaning that you can see vehicles and set their spawn points etc? Also, why is your server 1.7.2.6 and not 1.7.3? :o

No extra files to DL, no whitelist, just filter IL001 in CMDR or from Launcher and boom, you're in. Lingor Island- IL001 with 170 Vehicles By Oifriendlyfire Gaming 170 Vehicles Will be the max, adding them in in a more typical manner as to what youd see in a catastrophic event, IE vehicles outside stores, more in larger towns, less broken with more parts more zombies less crap to deal with, experienced/fair admin constantly updating to make a better playing experience. Come check us out, it will be the home of our New youtube channel www.youtube.com/oifriendlyfire We will be shooting scenario videos as soon as we get enough people who are willing to participate! -

I've got a pretty good list of stuff that could be added, don't know if this has been done but it's from the Consolidated Weapon/Item Requests for Standalone page. Pipe - Generally found on factory floors (pretty good, pretty common).Tow Rope / Chain - Used for towing stranded vehicles, say you have a pick-up truck but your buddies GAZ has a flat tire, and no replacement.Blowtorch - Used for any sort of future vehicle-modification, doubles as a fire starter, or impromptu weapon. X amount of uses until propane emptiesLantern - Used for providing adequate lighting inside a camp, or for general purpose lighting. Use with caution. Uses propane (see below), requires a blowtorch / box of matches to ignite. Propane Tank / Bottle - Provides a means to refill fuel for the Lantern and Blowtorch, and any other LP-powered item. Camping Stove - Used as a alternative means of cooking, when fire wood is unavailable. Uses Propane as fuel, provides minimal heat, and light. Multi-Tool - Your generic Swiss Army Knife, can replace / reduce redundant tools. Flint & Steel - Alternative to a Box of Matches, has a small chance of failing to start a fire, but is weather-proof. Fishing Rod - Self-explanatory, requires fishing tackle. Fishing Tackle - Used to bait the hooks of the fishing rod. Head Lamp - Works as a normal flashlight but not attached to your gun and not affected by running as it normally is. MRE's - A self-contained meal that restores a great portion of Health / Hunger. Requires water source to activate heating element.Improvised Melee Weapons. Modifications for Vehicles - Rotating Spotlight to go on the passenger side, trailers, fortifications (Making the hull stronger), Bulletproof glass (Extremely Rare) etc. Weapon Mods - Different scopes, silencers, and other stuff. CS gas or Flashbangs - Not as common loot you find all the time, but some less than lethal options to flush out campers or attack a player base would be nice, and I think these things are common enough at a police station armory to be feasible. Household chemicals - like bleach, that can be thrown at players or zombies, that may blind them temporarily. Should be used when you need to blind a player / zombie who will then stumble around and attract zombies to them rather than you. Poison/Drugs - Being able to poison/drug food to incapacitate players. If you contact someone and pose as friendly, you can give them your drugged food they eat it and pass out and then you can take all their supplies or use them as zombie bait Megaphones - that can make you heard from further away rather than the normal chatting distance. Fireworks - Can be used to distract players / zombies. Or brief illumination at night. Rain gear/poncho - Pros: less heat loss in rain. Cons: makes slightly more noise when moving. Barometer/digital weather computer - This allows you to read: wind speed, direction, air pressure, humidity. The usefulness of this item requires that standalone DayZ has a real weather simulation system, and real windage. This item can be used to predict weather according to real-life meteorology, and assessing windage for sniping. Lighters - Can replace matches, or make matches only work a few times (Thus using them all up) whereas lighters can be refueled after multiple uses. Hammocks - Hammocks could be used to store weapons and items up in the trees. Tomahawks/Throwing knives - Hell, even normal kitchen knives that can be found in industrial and apartment buildings. We need more "to-hand" throwing weapons. Anyone without a firearm will be quick to grab a couple of knives if a real zombie apocalypse kicked off. Molotov cocktails/Firebombs - Fits with the "to-hand" throwing weapons, and they're easy to make in real life, too. Fuel (from a can or straight from a petrol station), Bandage (For a fuse), Bottle (To put the fuel in), Match (To light it when you're ready). Fire Extinguisher - Could add a whole new element if you started something like randomly generated forest fires, or fires in towns/buildings. Multitools - Can openers, knife, lock pick, and weapon repair but not firewood Water filter - To get water from more sources Walkie talkies - no side chat but short distance civilian style walkie talkies with 32 open channels and a scan feature. Can set a channel to keep in touch with a short range group or scan the airwaves and listen in. It may need to make a noise and a have a small LED flash when changing channels. Flags / banners - So they can captured! also so clans can claim airfields and such. Sunglasses - A few basic styles and some regular glasses too, purely a visual thing. Kevlar Vest - Maybe a police station special, can only reduce small arms fire. Ham Radio Stations - Essentially a long range stationary walkie talkie, manly inside bases, needs power from a generator. Camo Netting - I think this one's most likely been suggested before but it'd be good to hide vehicles and tents etc. Rifle Sling - Would be a great variant for random weapons. Allows you to carry 2 primary weapons (one slung on your back) This would also add more realism as it's difficult to fit a rifle in a backpack in real life. Wire Cutters - Can cut through chain-link fence, barbed wire, etc. Pieces of map - Rip the map up in 6 or 8 pieces. This would make looting alot more fun. There were and are a lot more but I was running out of time. :P -

Their name sounds totally legit! And I'd stick with a Private Hive, yo. In Private Hives, you can insert weapons, insert buildings, insert vehicles, be a REAL Admin and make your own rules, set amt. of vehicles there are, limit what types of weapons there are, etc. You'll get way more attention brought to your server if you just put MAX VEHICLES or 80+ VEHICLES in your name than you would a Public Server. -

Just a little update we have a newish private hive running 1.7.3 with 70+ vehicles and anti-script/hack protection. Everyone welcome, whether ANZ or international, friendly or bandit. Server is a dedicated machine based in san jose, pings at around 165 for east coast aussies, quick load times and 4 restarts a day for plenty of chopper loot. -

Vilayer Hive / Vilayer Private Hive

I run a Vilayer server and have had the exact opposite experience. My server is stable, hacker free, tents and vehicles work properly. I have complete control over time, number of vehicles,the condition they are in when they spawn, how cleanup of all objects (including wire fencing) is handled and more. They have a dozen or so different maps that install with a single click to fit your taste. The support generally answers within a few hours of opening a ticket, and the few times I've had extended problems they have made it right by giving me free time or upgrading my server at no charge. If you want to see how one runs, search 1/9 WDU Server is Day Z commander and check ours out. -
DayZ is an apocalypse game where you should survive MAINLY from zombies. First you should find basic survival things like a simple weapon and food, medical stuff, etc. Then you should look for vehicles or a base, or better weapons, things like that. A bandit, actually, SHOULD be a "part" of the game, an "optional" side for the game, where you could kill another survivors when REALLY needed, not to stay on a 'high' building, with a sniper, waiting for another players to... **-hahaha-** kill them. It doesnt make any sense if you play in a zombie apocalyspe game to ENJOY killing another players! Well, I must agree: killing players is really nice, but dude, if you want to kill players for nothing, play deathmatch games man, there are MANY of them. I am not saying the banditry should be extinct, I am saying there's no logic if you play a zombie game to kill survivors purposely. What do you mean with 'purposely'? Well, sometimes you are in a building, looking for some stuff, then you find a player that you really dont trust and shit. Go ahead, kill him, it's a consequence. But playing here with the MAIN objective to kill players is not logical. As I said, killing players is really nice and shit, but do you know why? Because there's NOTHING better to do here. I hope this get fixed at the standalone :)

If you want a server thats always broken then choose Vilayer, if you want a server where vehicles despawn after every reset choose Vilayer, if you want a server that takes 24hrs+ to respond to a support ticket....choose Vilayer! They reset your server (all saved date) tents etc all vanish after having it running for weeks and weeks without warning and your server community leave and go else-where. My advice....Dont do it! Except how many vehicles on the server and what time of day the server is, you have NO control!

Im basiclly looking for a server that uses Custom skins , has factions /bases. But factions that actually contribute survivors like , faction that trades , defends , or gives medical aid. Also custom vehicles would be nice.. If you know any server like this please reply :)

I know a few guys on that server that know the admin and the are in a squad toghether. someone stole there chopper and the guys i know said the following: We are friends with the admin, He can spawn in another one with admin tools. admins cannot -spawn in weapons or Vehicles please check that server out i'll may get direct proof tomorrow in a video. -

gravatrax, I wouldn't mind some form of singleplayer/private hosted game, like alot of games do now you host them on your own computer and yes zombies shouldn't be able to climb ladders, also running through doors, maybe they could bash them open if they know a player is inside? I'm not sure about choosing your own spawn but maybe more random so say you could spawn somehwere inland on the outskirts of towns etc. The Khan, agreeing with you on the zombie spawns, once you clear a town no more zeds should spawn aslong as you stay with the town's 'boundaries', also something that's been mentioned quite a few times is a few zombies that spawn in forests and inside of buildings. Maybe they could combine all maps into one big world? idk how big of a job that'd be though, pretty big I imagine. Also agreeing with you on the vehicles, but then you'd get alot of players just driving around, also fixing vehicles, you should be able to take parts from one vehicle of the same kind and use them on another and the fuel consumption is terrible, it needs to be a bit longer me thinks before you run out. -
Sup Guys, I wrote a php script to modify DayZ's sql dataset. This script runs on a simple webserver (same server where my dayz server is running). Currently my scipt can: Players Stats Player Health Status Player Inventory Spawned Items Spawned Vehicles (and Status) Itemspawnpoints (and Chance) Vehiclespawnpoints (and Chance) AND modify any of the listed Informations By permanently checking the Inventory i can detect Hackers by scanning for special Weapons/Vehicles. It should be finished in a few Weeks.
